Texas Cattle Dog Rescue is a foster-based organization. We do not operate a shelter and do not have a central location for our dogs. Dogs are fostered in volunteers' homes all across Texas.
The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we are able to save. By fostering, you give a temporary home to a dog that would have otherwise been euthanized or abandoned and help prepare them for their new life.
When fostering a TCDR dog, you provide the love, attention, and safe temporary home for a heeler in need. You also have a say in your foster's ultimate home. Foster assignments tend to be short term while a dog recovers from surgery, undergoes heartworm treatment, or waits for a forever home. TCDR pays for veterinary care and heartworm and flea preventative for foster dogs. The foster will be responsible for food.
If you are interested in fostering a heeler, please complete our Foster Questionnaire and email it to dingo@texascattledogrescue.com.
